If your company uses the facilities of a multi-company building, such as Business Centre, you may only list the address of the multi-company building as a visiting address in the Commercial Register if you permanently rent space there. What are the rules?
Branch address
If you register your company at the Chamber of Commerce, one or more branch offices of your company will also be registered. If you choose for a business address at Business Centre, the CoC will register the postal address and the visiting address (business address). An address can only be registered as a visiting address if the CoC is able to verify that your branch is actually located at Business Centre. The Chamber of Commerce determines this via the lease.
Virtual office
If the rental contract shows that you permanently rent office space or an office at the address, you may register it as your visiting address in the Trade Register. This does not mean that you have to be present at all times, but that you have the possibility to be permanently present. If you rent a desk or office for, say, two hours a week, you do not meet the requirement and the Chamber of Commerce will not register it as a visiting address. This also applies to the rental of so-called virtual office space. In these cases, your private address will be registered as a visiting address. As a correspondence address you may use the address of the collective office building. The Chamber of Commerce regularly checks whether companies comply with these standards.
Your business address at Business Centre
Business Centre offers various options for a business address in the Netherlands and for renting office space that fully meet the legal standards of the Chamber of Commerce.
